Bring HOPE to the United States
In 1966, Swiss artist Carl Bucher and Robert F. Kennedy shared a long lunch in Rome and spoke about justice, human dignity, and moral courage. Nearly sixty years later, that conversation finds new life.
HOPE is Carl Bucher’s monumental sculptural installation: fifteen human figures, weathered yet unbroken, standing in quiet resistance. Having touched the United Nations, the European Court of Human Rights, and the International Red Cross Museum - now HOPE is ready to come to the United States.
Together with Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Switzerland, the Estate of Carl and Heidi Bucher invites supporters to help place HOPE at a public site in the U.S. connected to civil rights, conscience, and the legacy of Robert F. Kennedy. This initiative is both a cultural landmark and a living commitment, as a large proportion of the funds raised will support the human rights work of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights.
This is an opportunity to help shape a permanent public moment — where art, history, and moral responsibility meet.
Join us in bringing HOPE to America.
